The summer heat and multiplying guests are problems at Larkfield Manor. First, Elizabeth is ill-prepared for the arrival of Victoria, Phyllis, and Charles. Then, a letter from Arthur announcing his arrival that evening further complicates Mrs. Gates' dinner preparation.
