Sarah and Steve moved over from Ashford in Kent six years ago, and now top up their pension by renting out part of their home every summer. With the first guests about to arrive, Sarah battles spiders and Steve battles the erratic French shop opening times to get things ready in time. Cheryl has been in France less than a year and now lives in a beautiful farmhouse she couldn't imagine affording in the UK, along with her husband, three kids, mum and dad, and a menagerie of animals.
